Terms of Service

Welcome to CVoria. CVoria is a service provided by Voria AB, a Swedish company with organization number 559575-0091. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, products, and services. By accessing or using CVoria, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using CVoria, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. CVoria does not provide legal, financial, or employment advice. We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by email, through the dashboard, or by a prominent notice on our website before the changes take effect, unless a shorter notice period is required for legal or security reasons. Continued use of our services after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use CVoria. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian where required by law. By using our services, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using CVoria on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Account Registration & Security

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to: • Provide accurate and complete information during registration • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account • Take responsibility for all activities that occur under your account We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

4. Our Services

CVoria provides AI-powered career tools including: • Resume/CV Analysis: Automated feedback on your resume for ATS compatibility, content quality, and formatting • Cover Letter Generation: AI-generated cover letters based on your resume and job descriptions • Interview Coach: Practice interview sessions with AI feedback on your responses • LinkedIn Profile Optimization: Suggestions to improve your LinkedIn profile • Job Tracking: Tools to organize and track your job applications Our AI-generated content is intended as guidance only. We do not guarantee job placement, interview invitations, or employment outcomes. Final hiring decisions are made by employers, not by CVoria.

5. Access Passes & Payments

CVoria offers both free access and paid Pro access passes. Free Plan: Limited access to core features with usage caps. Pro Plan: Full access to all features, subject to fair use and technical limits. Fair use means you may not use the service in a way that is excessive, abusive, automated, fraudulent, or materially degrades the service for other users. To protect the service, we may apply reasonable usage monitoring, throttling, feature restrictions, or suspensions. Payments and checkout are processed by Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), our Merchant of Record and payment partner. Paid Pro access is sold as a time-limited pass and does not renew automatically. Your purchase may also be subject to Polar's buyer terms and checkout terms presented at payment. Refund Policy: We offer a voluntary 30-day refund right for the first 90-day Pro pass purchase. Eligible consumers may also have statutory withdrawal rights. See our Refund Policy for details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: • Use CVoria for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws • Upload content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights • Use our services to generate content intended for spam, deception, or impersonation • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access our services without permission • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit our services without authorization • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code • Access or use our services if you are located in a country embargoed by the U.S. government or the European Union, or are on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your account.

7. Intellectual Property

CVoria Content: All content, features, and functionality of CVoria (including text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by CVoria and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission. Your Content: You retain ownership of content you upload (resumes, cover letters, profile photos, etc.). By uploading content, you grant CVoria a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process your content solely to provide our services. We do not claim ownership of your personal documents or photos. AI-Generated Content: Cover letters and other content generated by our AI are provided for your use. You may use, modify, and distribute AI-generated content for your personal job search purposes.

8. Disclaimers

CVoria is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS. USING CVORIA DOES NOT GUARANTEE EMPLOYMENT OR INTERVIEWS. Our AI provides suggestions based on general best practices. It is not a substitute for professional career counseling. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all content before using it in your job applications. Right to Modify Services: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the services at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable for any modification or discontinuation of the services.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CVORIA AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY ACTIONS TAKEN BY EMPLOYERS OR RECRUITERS BASED ON YOUR RESUME OR APPLICATIONS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR €100 (OR THE EQUIVALENT IN LOCAL CURRENCY), WHICHEVER IS GREATER. Force Majeure: CVoria shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to outages of third-party services (such as AI providers), network failures, natural disasters, or government actions.

10. Termination & Governing Law

Termination: You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. We may also discontinue or terminate some or all of the services, or your paid access, for operational, legal, or business reasons with reasonable notice where practicable. If we terminate paid access for convenience and not because of your breach of these Terms, fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or unlawful conduct, we will refund the prepaid unused portion of your then-current access period unless a different remedy is required by applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use CVoria ceases immediately. Upon account termination, we may retain or delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Governing Law (Non-US Users): If you reside outside the United States, these Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden. Dispute Resolution (US Users Only): If you reside in the United States, you agree to the following: Mandatory Arbitration: Any dispute or claim arising from these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. CLASS ACTION WAIVER: YOU AND CVORIA AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR OUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL IN ANY PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES. The Federal Arbitration Act and federal arbitration law apply to this agreement.
